Justyna Galant - biography

BIOGRAPHY


	Justyna Galant-was born in Łódź .She studied at the Music Academy in Łódź under the guidance of professor Janusz Grzelązka and professor Kazimierz Gierżod.She graduated the Academy in 1994,receiving a Master's degree with honors. Ms.Galant registered her first artistic achievements already at school,receiving the 1 st price at the Young pianists' Competition.She then was awarded a 1 st degree at National Festival of Contemporary Music in Łodż:as well as awards at Karol Szymanowski Competition and Mozart Competition,organized also in Łodż. In 1993, she was the laureate of the International Miłosz Magin Competition, held in Paris.During the same year,she particioated in the Concert of the Year in Warsaw dedicated to Witold Lutosławski.
She received scholarschips from the Ministry of Culture and Art, and from the Government of France. In 1995,she completed piano studies at the Ecole Normale de Musiqe,where she studied under the guidance of professor Victoria Melka.She received a diploma with honors.Inthe years 1996-1998 she studied at Conservatory für Musik und Theater in Bern(Switzerland),in the piano class led by Tomas Herbut and the chamber music class led by Erika Radermacher. Ms.Galant often participated in master courses, working under the guidance of Halina Czerny-Stefańska, Tatiana Szebanowa, Rudolf Buchbinder in Zurich. Among her artistic achievements are numerous recordings for Polish Radio and Television as well as recording companies Sachische Tontrager (Piano-Duo with Filip Wojciechowski) and Dux in Poland (Piano-Trio).
